Quarter: Spring 2019
Grade: A-

Professor Davis is obviously very passionate about architecture. If you are somewhat interested in history and architecture and are looking for an easier ge, take this class. Professor Davis is very approachable and his explanations are clear. Don't miss class though, he goes through a lot each lecture and if you miss one, you miss his very detailed explanation on different concepts.

Quarter: Spring 2019
Grade: A

This is the best class I have taken at UCLA so far. Professor Davis really seemed to love what he was teaching, and the content was interesting and overall pretty easy to understand. The exams (one midterm and one final, during weeks 5 and 10, respectively) were very easy; one part consisted of geography and vocabulary identification and the other part was a long essay. I made a few mistakes on the essay but my TA was kind enough to go through them, and I felt more confident writing my essay during the final. Participation does matter, but the discussions are worth your time in helping you understand the material on a deeper level. Additionally, there were five reading responses due throughout the quarter that were based on the readings, but if you took the time to finish both of the readings and come up with a concise argument about them it would be pretty easy to score a 10/10. Overall it was a very easy and fun class, and I would definitely take it again with Will! It's also a great historical analysis GE if you still need to complete one.
