Fall 2024 - Dr. Espino was a wonderful lecturer, and this class was super manageable! Grades consisted of a quiz every two weeks on the lectures/readings which are easy as long as you go to lectures, and a quarter long research paper. The research paper was pretty easy, and discussion section were basically formatted to be a writing workshop to help with the paper the entire quarter. Overall, it was an interesting course, and I would recommend taking this course!

Fall 2019 - Professor Espino is an amazing professor! She is very clear throughout her lectures and the readings are very simple and easy to understand. She offers several opportunities for extra credit and quickly responds to all emails. Honestly this class is an easy A if you show up and do the work. We had 3 short essays each 3-4 pages long (easy if you've done the readings) and a final which was a 6 page research paper which we worked on throughout the quarter. I highly recommend this class and professor she is super sweet and just wants to make sure that her students learn
