Clinical Psychology of Childhood and Adolescence
Description: Lecture, two hours; discussion, one hour. Requisite: course 127A or 127B or 127C. Survey of child and adolescent psychopathology and psychotherapy from a developmental perspective. Coverage includes such conditions as anxiety disorders, depression, conduct and attention problems, eating disorders, and autism, with information on prevalence, causes, common treatments and their effects. P/NP or letter grading.

I totally agree with the above comment. Dr. Eisenberg is a great teacher. She makes everything in the class clear. She is so knowlegable. She makes every element (videos, guess lectures) that she used in class meaningful. She does not only concern students about their academic performance in class, but also concern about our future. She even use her private time to set up an Graduate study discussion. This really helps us a lot! She is effective, nice, and approachable. From her lectures, you will know that she is a good psychologist. She knows her position very well, and she even teach us about the ethics of being a professional psychologist. I highly recommend her to you. You will not only gain academic knowledge from her; she also is a good modal of good psychologist.

Summer 2020 - If you like this topic or just appreciate the effort you put into studying - do not take this professor. His slides are packed with loads of text, his lectures are not engaging in any way and boring, and he goes off-topic so many times. There are one midterm and a final (summer) and these are the trickiest exams I have ever taken. Be prepared to somehow gain more hours a day because 24 will not be enough for this class. This is the most frustrating and disappointing class I have ever taken, and this comes from someone who wants to be a child psychologist - this class is literally what I want to do with my life. Really, take something else.

Dr. Weisz is a great professor. He is a caring, sincere and approachable professor. He makes the material easy to understand and is always willing to assist those who need a little more help in understanding the material. He also uses many video examples to illustrate his points. His three exams are fair, they are not cumulative. He is one of the best professors I have had at UCLA. Overall, I would recommend him.
