Continental African Authors
Description: Lecture, three hours. Requisite: one course from 1A, 1B, 1C, 2AW, 2BW, 2CW, or English Composition 3 or 3H. Introduction to new set of African authors and attempt to discern similarities or differences they may have with major authors such as Achebe, Ngugi, Armath, Soyinka, etc. P/NP or letter grading.

Spring 2025 - Professor Bosch Santana is an excellent prof! Incredibly attentive to student learning, deeply passionate about the material, and always the leads the students into very engaging and unique discussions about the reading material. Workload ranged from relatively light to average in terms of reading, reading materials were always very well-selected and works you normally don't see taught in English-language classes. Overall, I would absolutely take a class with Bosch Santana again even for a subject I initially have low interest in.
