I really loved this class, but unfortunately the professor is impossible to understand... I'm sorry, but she did not articulate in the pre-recorded classes and always talked low, and sometimes noises in the background would make the lectures impossible to decipher (for me, at least). What saved me was having to read all the readings and attending every discussion, and my TA was awesome and explained everything so I managed to get an A in the course.

her voice puts me to sleep. havent received a grade yet. Her voice, the way she talks, her accent, her tone, paired with the fact that its online just doesnt go together. takes me 30 hours to watch a 30 minute lecture cuz i keep snoozing. easy but very un-engaging and hard to decipher her accent especailly through the screen.

LOVED both the class and professor and 100% recommend taking it as a GE. I took this class as a GE and really enjoyed the material and learned a lot. There are weekly readings and reading quizzes but the readings are very interesting and do not take much time. I found the lectures to be very engaging.

A fairly easy GE.

You don't really have to go to lectures since very little is covered, but sometimes there are pop quizzes. I would often go to lecture but just browse the internet the whole time.

You do have to do the readings for the quizzes, but they are short, like ~30 minutes per week.

The midterm was writing a reflection on gender in our own life. The final was a few short essay questions that were pretty simple.

No homework.

I would recommend, it was pretty chill and if you are interested in feminism then you won't mind this class.

The only thing that is awkward it is a required category to write about race in your paper, and if you are white, you might not have very much to write about.
