**FIAT LUX RATING**

I took Professor Roy's Fiat Lux (The Sociological Construction of History, if I remember correctly) and it was awesome. We were assigned one chapter of his book each week and asked to submit three discussion questions before class. No midterm, no final, and to be honest, you don't really have to read to participate in class. You do have to present one of the topics, but basically you ask the class some questions vaguely associated with the topic and you're good to go! The class could be awkward if nobody was willing to talk, but Roy is good at facilitating discussion and filling in silences with interesting tidbits.

Professor Roy himself is a really cool guy. Fun prof to have in a small group setting and extremely knowledgeable about his subject... he loves to talk about his curly hair and always has a Fresca haha.

Overall: an EASY Fiat Lux worth taking if you have any interest in the subject!
