Dr. Espino was a wonderful lecturer, and this class was super manageable! Grades consisted of a quiz every two weeks on the lectures/readings which are easy as long as you go to lectures, and a quarter long research paper. The research paper was pretty easy, and discussion section were basically formatted to be a writing workshop to help with the paper the entire quarter. Overall, it was an interesting course, and I would recommend taking this course!

Dr. Espino is such a good lecturer! I took this class on a whim for UD credit, but I was engaged throughout the quarter. Lecture was super insightful and covered a lot of different topics. If you do the readings, you'll be set pretty much. Discussion sections are designed to pretty much just be TA help on the writing assignments throughout the quarter. Lena (the TA for this class) was an angel and so helpful during discussion! The workload was super manageable and I'm really glad that I took this class.
