Very good professor. Don't need the books because it's all in the lecture. Mid term, final and a 2500 word paper on anything relating to health.
While lecturing on the power of the mind in healing ailments of the body he was patronizing televangelists and grabbed a girl's head in the front row and threw it back saying "You're saved!" It was one of the funniest things I had ever seen in a classroom.

OMG!! He's the most amazing Geography Professor I've had (other than Gilespie!) at UCLA. I seriously recommend him!

The best way to study for his exams is off the lecture notes (it's basically laid out for you) Take him if you can!

Prof Burnett is the kind of instructor I came to UCLA for- he is passionate about the subject he teaches, and he is an excellent lecturer.

There is a lot of material to cover, and we didn't get through it all, but the exams were definitely manageable if you went to all the classes and studied your notes.

The book honestly was not worth buying for this class, because all the material we needed to know for the midterm and final came straight from his notes.

I would highly reccomend taking a class from Burnett- this was the only class this quarter that I can say I actually enjoyed.
