Fall 2025 - Dr. Kane is an incredibly sweet lecturer who demonstrates a lot of care for both the material and the student experience. Our lectures were in the morning and she usually spent the first 5 or so minutes just chatting or letting people file in before actually speaking. The lectures themselves aren't super impactful, I think they could have used a little more depth or gone a little faster, but they're also very clear and move at a manageable pace. Dr. Kane is kind of bad at responding via email though. The class itself is an easy A, it just requires you to do a couple of readings before each class so you can take a short multiple choice quiz. These are super easy and they're practically recycled for the exams, which were mostly multiple choice. There were a couple of free response and always had small bits of extra credit. I kind of wish the class taught more, but it was definitely a fun class to take to get some units without putting a major burden on your schedule. Really wish the discussion wasn't mandatory though, that shit was always some hot trash. I don't know if my TA (Onny) was responsible but they started with the TA giving a mandatory 20-30 minute yap session about the same conservation topic every time.
