stirs interesting discussion, tries to get students to think critically and analytically and to be open-minded, but it takes only a few weeks to figure out her real opinions re: certain issues. she brings up good thinking points, but sometimes she is too much of an academic and fails to suggest (or allow students to suggest) real solutions to the problems facing Vietnam today.

journals are a bitch, i think just about everyone puts them off until the last couple days... but it was not fun, believe me. relatively easy grader though.
