I think one's experience in this class is really dependent on what mentor teacher they are paired with. I personally really liked my mentor teacher, who let us do a decent amount in her classroom and was super super understanding. The seminar is also sometimes really useful but othertimes can be uneventful. Ms. Gentile, though, is very kind, enthusiastic, and encouraging, and she will help you with any issues or questions you have about the field portion of the course whenever you ask. One important thing to note, though, is that you should have about a ~4 hour chunk in your class schedule that you can dedicate to the field portion of this class, especially if you are assigned to a school like Brentwood Science Magnet or Westwood Charter (you have to take the bus to get to these). Overall, the experience is what you make of it, so as long as you have a positive attitude going in you should definitely be able to get a great experience out of this class.
