In my experience, she was a kind and knowledgeable professor. She gave helpful feedback on the homework, and her slides are very detailed, so I think she does put a lot of effort into her teaching.
The class structure was pretty disorganized though. She just reads off her slides during the 3 hour lecture so it's really boring, especially because it's online. They're not mandatory so you can skip them if you're not interested.
You just have little projects that you have to complete weekly or biweekly, and those usually take a few hours.
If you're interested in UX as a career, I highly recommend this class! Very informative & if you want to ask any questions about the industry, she's very helpful. But if you're not really interested in UX, I don't really recommend it...it takes up more time than you think & would probably be boring for you.

She is sooooooooooo lazy! She uses her previous slides without teaching you anything even students want to take lectures in the current situation and all she does is to hold some meaningless one-hour meetup per week to see whether you did the work. And she doesn't teach! She used voice to email you back(so a lot of typo, she even admits that) and doesn't take more students into class because she is always "tired". She is the laziest lecturer I've ever seen at UCLA. And there are so many unclear thing on the slides. She just pulls up a lot of things and gather thing and asked you to watch. Also, a lot of unnecessary tedious in-class activity, which is just a waste of time.

Sookie doesn't teach and she doesn't care about her students. She didn't do lectures for the first five weeks of the quarter and had her student's teach demos for software. Basically tried doing the bare minimum, really don't recommend this class especially if you're taking it online.

This was the worst class I had ever had. She was not clear about any assignments and gave exams over things we never covered. We had labs every week, and she never specified what exactly was needed for each, so students had to guess on what to do. She was harsh and was not helpful.

This professor gave absolutely garbage criticism and does not allow you to revise after they give you notes. This class is honestly trash, I put in a lot of time and effort for this professor to deduct points simply because they don't like your work. This is also one of those classes with a cap on how many points you can earn, so you essentially start with 100 points possible and deductions add up FAST, especially since for certain errors, they'll deduct points twice (once for making the error in the first place, and again on the rubric for the specific error you make).
I wouldn't ever take this professor again, and I literally LOVE graphic design. I had better professors on this subject at Santa Monica College.
