mimg 185A is definitely one of those classes that require a LOT of studying but is worth taking because it is very INTERESTING and the professors are wonderful. okay, let's get things straigthened out, this class is definitely not easy, but if you want to actually LEARN something IMPORTANT in your so many years stay UCLA, you should definitely take this class. both dr. morrison and dr. zack are very good professors - knowledgeable and very approachable. the course reader was definitely helpful too - esp. during the midterm and the final. and lastly, if you ever pick a TA for discussion, pick JAY DELA CRUZ. he is like a GOD, who actually takes time to help his students and is very NICE and VERY smart. i'm not kidding. i have had people from different discussion sessions sit in my discussion every single time just for JAY's lecture. I definitely loved MIMG 185A - even though it did take up much of my sleep time and somewhat of my social life -why shouldn't I, i got my money's worth and I walked out of the class much more knowledgeable.

There isn't much to say about this class. Every MIMG major must take this course. My biggest issue with the professors is that they tended to jump around a lot between T cells and B cells which I thought made the class unnecessarily confusing. I think that the organization should be first half B cells and second half T cells so that it is less confusing. As any one of your friends will tell you, the class is known for its very challenging tests. Be prepared to have a test question about a protein mentioned in one slide in one line ONLY. I do not advice this class for someone who is just starting their upper division course work !
