I took FILM TV C132 - FUNDAMENTALS OF SCREENWRITING.

The class meets for 50 minutes once a week and is only 2 units so I probably shouldn't have expected too much if it, but I still took it just as serious as any other class.

I feel like the majority of the class was Walter telling some life stories or stories for examples rather than giving detailed lectures of how to make a screen play, except every now and then you get a good piece of information on how to write one. But all this made class less stressful than any of my other classes.

He recommends two books, I only got the one that he wrote and it was sufficient. The syllabus said there were midterms every other week, but they were just assignments every now and then. You write the first 5 pages of a screenplay and the final is some other assignment which was no more than 2 page.

It's an easy class, and I loved writing my own screenplay.

Arrogant, pretentious, and self-centered. But that's why I love him.

Go to class. Its only 1 hour of the week. He gives out assignments during class and if you don't go to get the assignments your grade will drop a letter grade. Nothing is graded. If you turn everything in on time you will get an A. Nothing else to it.

Before taking this class, you must ask yourself whether the easy A is worth sitting through 10 weeks of class to obtain an hours worth of information you already know. Step wisely. Walter is also a vain motherfucka.
