Great professor! Really knows his stuff. His lectures were very entertaining and kept me awake. Also he is an awesome piece of eye candy if that matters :)

Funny professor. I loved his lectures and the readings for his far from being tedious was actually enjoyable and very readable. I you grew up with Greek myths you'll find this class a breeze and still fun. He is a very good looking man too as others have mentioned so you'll definitely stay up during class.

Really great professor. Should definitely take him if you get the chance. He's really funny and knows his stuff plus its interesting because it's Greek mythology and studying is enjoyable.

He recently restructured the class so its no longer as easy as it was with just multiple choice midterms and finals. There's now an essay (4-6 pages so not bad) and the midterm and final have short answer with only a few multiple choice.

It's a really interesting class and as long as you do the reading, you should definitely get an A.

A rare professor who actually makes ancient subjects interesting and comprehensible. I took CLS 30, which I had attempted with a different professor and couldn't hang, and CLS 144 (the hero class). Both were fun and easy. Definitely recommend his classes and seeing him in office hours. He's laid back and approachable, not to mention he's been on pretty interesting things like Ancient Aliens. So do take him if you get the chance, and yes, he is attractive.

Great professor. Gotta take his class if you have a chance.

Plus it's an easy A(or A+).

Oh, there's podcast too.

TAKE HIM IF YOU GET A CHANCE!

Great lecturer, although we never got through the entire readings in a lecture. The course was very entertaining, usually based like a discussion, he opens the floor to whoever wants to speak. We went through the Iliad, Odyssey, and Aeneid[given it was a topical course entitled Heroes]. Take home midterms [3 of them + 1 week to do each exam!] consisting of passage identification, multiple choice section, and an essay; there was a 7-8 pg final paper. Grading was excellent--even threw in extra credit questions. He does curse quite a bit, nothing too drastic.
Grade in class: A+
