I think it should be against UCLA's policy to allow such unqualified professors to "teach" us. His class was a waste of time, money and energy.

one of the worst professors i have EVER taken. He was very, very rude when people made comments that were in conflict with his own views in class. He did not prepare us at all for the final paper. He has the most weirdest grading scale. First of all, he makes us take this midterm at 8th week and tells us not to worry about it at all because it was going to be easy and he would not test us on anything that is in the book but he didnt cover. Of course, he exaggerated the "easiness" of his midterm, he also tested us on stuff he didnt cover. And, his curve for the midterm was not even a curve at all! Secondly, after the midterm he told us that if whatever we get in the paper will be our grade in the class. THEN WHY DID WE TAKE THE MIDTERM???? Please, please, PLEASE do not take this guy. We need this guy to get out of here immediately.

While everyone else is mostly interested in discussing Groper's monotone voice or boring lectures, I would simply like to add that he is the most unorganized, unqualified and ignorant professor I have ever had. Taking his class was an insult to my intelligence, and his condescending attitude is absolutely unnecessary. If you are looking at this to decide whether or not to take his class, don't. Not even if it fits your schedule perfectly. It will ruin your entire quarter.

His lectures are incredibly boring. He talks slower than anyone I have ever hear and what he says is rarely interesting and rarely useful or on topic. However, he grades in a mysterious way and for the amount he teaches, the way he grades is WAY too harsh. If you need to take this class, you should wait for another professor because you will never want to go to class and you won't get the grade you think you deserve.
