Fantastic class! Taking this fiat lux in my first quarter at UCLA was a good decision.

Professor Pogossian is a very friendly man and really enthusiastic about music. The fiat lux I took was on J.S. Bach's violin solos. We met five times during the quarter and he would perform one of Bach's sonatas or partitas. His performances are mesmerizing to watch. He is very engaging to talk to. There is only one assignment in the quarter and that is to write a short 2-page reflection on your experience in the class and how your opinion of Bach has evolved. If you have any interest in classical music, you should definitely take a class with him.

Pogossian is an incredible violinist and is such a kind and funny man. There were only 5 meetings for this class but they were 2 hours long.
