This class was definitely interesting in terms of the subject. I really enjoyed all the readings that were required, which were all on food. She gave random quizzes though from really nit-picked information so we were basically forced to read but the load was really not that bad. Professor Moe basically talks about her life stories for half of the class, and the other half she talks about her interpretation of the readings which is generally interesting in my opinion. The essays however were tricky. We had two essays for this class, with pretty interesting topics. However, writing them would not be that bad, except when she gave us back our rough draft, she would be really ambiguous about her feedback. We were required to have one on one sessions after she gave us back our rough draft which would be REALLY awkward. She's super lively in class but in those one on one sessions she was just really weird and quiet and completely unhelpful Seriously, in that 10 minutes, all she would do is ask so what do YOU think you can do to improve this essay? But anyway, it's really not that bad. Its not an easy A class, that's for sure. Overall, interesting topics, manageable workload, but you have to work hard on those essays.
Enjoyed her class. Our topic was on Food so the articles and readings were all interesting. However, the amount of reading we would be assigned was a bit much at times. She isn't an easy A. Don't expect to get an A in her class. She's a great professor and very articulate, but if you want the easy way out, it isn't this class. We have quizzes every class based on the readings that were assigned. If you really want to gain an enjoyable experience then this class is good for you, but if you can care less about truly intelligent professor and want to opt for the easy A then I'd go with someone else.
