Professor Heim is a very interesting professor. He knows several languages fluently, and he is very well read. He does tend to go off on tangents at times, and taking notes for his class is quite difficult, because he typically jumps from topic to topic, so I suggest taking notes on a computer, so you can rearrange things with ease. When he tells you to write something down, do it, because it will be on the test. The tests were fairly easy, but the amount we were expected to read was incredible. War and Peace is supposed to be read, while you read other books at the same time, which you will be required to write papers about. If you are only taking 3 classes, than this class isn't too bad, but any more than that and you probably won't be able to stay caught up.
