Winter 2024 - Senior seminar on the Brönte's. No, sadly, we did not read any of Branwell's poems, but we certainly gossiped about him. Jane Eyre was my favorite to read, Wuthering Heights and The Tenant didn't do it for me. The class is 3 novels and some secondary sources to engage with high-level literary criticism. You're asked to break down one of these articles in class as a presentation. It is a bit of work, but honestly, so will every senior seminar be. Stephan is a good helmsman for a class; the discussions about the gothic and colonialism in Jane Eyre were transcendent!
