Dr. Norseng is one of the nicest, most caring professors I have ever had at UCLA. She genuinely cares about her students and spent so much time with me in her office hours, helping me with ideas for the papers and reviewing my drafts. She chooses interesting material for the class to read and her passion for all this really rubs off. But don't be fooled into thinking this class is an "easy A" because of all the athletes you see taking it...you definitely have to put a good amount of effort in. Overall, great class and I wish I could take her again

Scandinavian 50w was probably one of my favorite classes here at ucla. For the most part the readings were pretty interesting and the class and section discussions were good. Professor Norseng and the TAs were very helpful and approachable. I wouldn't say the class is super easy or anything though. I honestly made a genuine effort on all my papers to get a good grade.
