WORST class I've ever taken. The lecture material is unorganized, irrelevant, and boring. Readings are long and tedious. The professor thinks France is the greatest thing ever and refuses to acknowledge other opinions. Not only is she hardheaded, she's not at all concerned with the students' learning. Don't take this class if you don't have to.

French 14 is not a hard class the teacher does a good job of covering the materials. However, she does tend to ramble on about seemingly unrelated things. I liked the class and would recommend it. It's not hard to get a A if you do all the readings and take good notes in class

One of the most interesting classes I've taken at UCLA. The Professor is extremely intelligent, knows her stuff, and demands & expects a lot from her students. She took the time to set up extra office hours for any help I needed. Great Professor ! Take this class.
(The previous person probably didn't do too well in the class because he/she wasn't putting in enough effort.) Just like anything in life, YOU GET OUT WHAT YOU PUT IN.
