I've now taken Gallagher for English 169 A, 142 A, and a special one 199 with him. This professor is dedicated with office hours always trying to help his students benefit from this university. He is a jewel for this university and to say otherwise would be impossible because he represents the English major as it is. He also doesn't want you to repeat things in lecture because they are literally his own ideas with his intrests, but usually allows (if he doesn't have a T.A.) your own pursuits within the subject. Because I took the 169 A with him I decided to formulate my own project and he gladly accepted my challenge to write a master poem closely to that of Spenser himself. If you haven't taken a 142 yet be sure to take him because he doesn't waste your tyme with quizzes or busy work; just a "long" paper and final, that's all.
