I took jewish studies 75 with Hakak.
He is very knowledgeable and knows what he is lecturing about. He really dissects the text we read and analyze things that never even crossed my mind. The text we read were very interesting as well, especially Agnon's short stories. They really made me think about life and all that good stuff. His two-hour lecture can be difficult to bear at times, but at least the second half of it is dedicated to jewish films, many of those i enjoyed. His midterm is easy, but you have to read every text he assigns. Even better, he allows you to make up your exam for an even better grade. His final comprises of 15 questions, and you choose and answer 12. I got an A in the class. Take his class, you really learn a lot about Judaism, their history, and their culture.
