Quarter Taken: Spring 2016 Submitted July 3, 2017 Grade Received: B

Lauri is one of the best professors here at UCLA. She is very understanding, funny, and overall like a second mother. There is no way in hell you will be able to be distracted during her class; it is very engaging and participation is key. She is a fair grader.

Quarter Taken: Spring 2017 Submitted Dec. 8, 2017 Grade Received: A

Lauri is one the most engaging, introspective, thoughtful, and understanding professors at UCLA. This class is phenomenal. The class environment is very relaxed and allows you to develop a personal relationship with both peers and Lauri. We often started the class by just taking a minute to take a break and practice a bit of mindfulness. We once had a walking class where we simply walked around campus in small groups and discussed the readings. For the last class, we met in the botanical garden and did casual presentations. I found the readings very interesting and this made it manageable to write the papers. Lauri is very understanding and will even grant extensions for deadlines if you ask. I loved this class! Must take!
