Quarter: Fall 2023
Grade: A

Koffi is my funniest lecturer last quarter. Absolutely hilarious if you're into that type of teacher.
His accent was strong, but I got used to it after a week or two. The biggest problem is not the accent but how he doesn't explain or break down the concepts but just narrates it as a repetition of the textbook. When there's a hard concept to teach he would just repeat the definition again and again in his non-logical manner, and say "is it clear? is it clear?", and nobody would respond to him, and he gets triggered and goes "yes!" as a response to himself. So, bad teaching combined with an accent, I'm not sure if it's just me but the lectures were just nightmares for me; terribly hard to follow; total waste of time; I stopped going after midterm 1.
BUT, THERE IS A TRADEOFF. His homework and exams are super easy. HW questions are straight from the textbook, and test questions are just variations of similar problems. Easy A if you put in the work.
Conclusion:
*strong independent learning ability and just wants an A ---- sure, take it
*care about high-quality teaching and learning ---- leave!
