Professor Komar is a great teacher. We read a lot of amazing books in her class for German Lit and always had a thorough, engaging discussion on popular themes and characters. There is one midterm, one paper and one final in her class which are all writing essays. If you know what you're talking about, you'll be fine, and you can always ask for help on writing your paper. It's a great GE to take to fulfill your lit requirement!

I had Prof Komar for German 50B and she is very good. I didn't much like what we read, and lots of reading, but she was a very good lecturer on the readings. Her tests were totally fair with no surprises. If you paid attention and went to class all the readings make sense. I recommend her to anyone!
