I really loved this class. Professor Sonik gives a lot of work. There are weekly readings and home works. The class consists of two exams, weekly home works based on completion, and three writing exercises that require you to draw a picture. She also gives you a notecard for the exams.

To be honest I never did any of the weekly readings, and skimmed through the readings required to do the home works. That being said I literally wrote down everything she said in class. Overall, I loved this class and think Professor Sonik is an amazing lecturer.

I took both AH50 - Ancient Art and AH110J - Art and Empire with Sonik.

Her class is a lot of work, well, a lot of reading, but it is worth it. She is a great lecturer and definitely passionate about the subject (her area of specialty is Mesopotamia).

Although she does give weekly homework, her tests are relatively easy because she lets you bring a notecard, or even all your notes (for her upper division class).

Even though I had to work really hard in her upper division, I thought it was well worth it and look forward to taking another one of her classes.
