Great professor in many ways. Was very and engaging in class, and provided so many opportunities to learn the material which I mostly failed to take advantage of. My only complaint is that he is very much a "math guy" and thus gets very far into the weeds of what makes certain math concepts work the way they do, I think the class would be easier if he focused more on what you actually need to do and how to do it, but I do see the educational value in his approach. Basically he is the perfect professor for math majors. and still a very good one for everyone else.

He was constantly holding extra sessions to help people and really did everything possible to get you prepared. I slacked off in this class and absolutely bombed both midterms. When I actually sat down and went through everything in preparation for the final I realized that if you actually keep up with the class both midterms are extremely management, especially midterm 1 don't slack on midterm 1 its free points if you're actually putting in the work.

He has nothing but you're best interest in mind. I don't remember my exact midterm grades, 70 something on midterm one and like a low 60 on number 2, so rough stuff. However, after the class had a pretty rough performance on midterm 2 he actually changed the grading structure of the class just a few weeks before the final so that your final would replace your worse midterm if you did better on the final. (He actually originally made it so that your better midterm replaced the worse one but was told he couldn't by the department, which was great for me cause both my midterms were lackluster but worse for the class as a whole), which I think just shows that he really wants the best for everyone in his class. After I actually utilized everything he had been putting out there, and honestly I still just scratched the surface as it was mostly cramming, I was able to get a high grade on the final and escape with an A in the class.

The guy literally must be working 80 hour weeks if he is providing as much stuff for his other classes as he did for this one, so many sessions outside of class and they're all recorded!

Overall definitely a legit class so don't go in thinking you'll coast, maybe you will if you took it in high school, but if you actually take it seriously and use what hes giving you an A is very very achievable. Oh and also he tracks attendance with iclicker so seating is brutal so get to class early and don't skip.
