McCumber is a great professor. I had him for German Philosophy and his class really got me interested in reading further on the philosophers we studied. You learn a lot about significant philosophers of the pertaining century that you take the class (he teaches 19th and 20th century German Philosophy). If you are on the fence about taking him, I only have two words for you. Take him. He is a great guy, he is approachable and understanding, and his class isn't very hard so you can not feel stressed while learning the information. The final was a very long take home paper so there really is minimal stress involved in his class and very meaningful things learned. No reason not to take him. So take him.
