Spring 2026 - I would 100% recommend this class to any sociology major or anyone who just needs the credit. Professor Collett is an incredibly understanding and supportive professor who genuinely wants her students to succeed. Participation is the biggest factor in your grade. You’re allowed to miss four classes, which is very lenient, but she does use iClicker and includes weekly quizzes through it. The questions are pretty simple, and some are just participation points. If you don’t participate in class activities or complete the iClickers, you won’t do as well, but if you stay engaged, you’re basically guaranteed a good grade. There is a midterm and a final. The midterm average was a B, and I’d rate the difficulty around a 5/10. I haven’t taken the final yet, but it follows the same structure as the midterm and is not cumulative. Overall, I highly recommend this class. Professor Collett is a great, engaging instructor who makes the course enjoyable and manageable.
