goated class. fair exams that are taken at online at home (3 throughout the quarter, non-cumulative, 30 questions m.c.) and are directly from the lectures. lectures are mandatory and attendance is taken through iclicker, but tbh just listening to lecture was enough for me to do well. he provides a study guide of topics and unit question assignments that are basically free points cuz they're unlimited tries. i liked the first half of the class content, but i absolutely despised the last half (psych 110 residual trauma). still was able to score good on exams after minimal studying and the class averages were great on each exam. prof wong talks fast, but he does post lecture recordings!
i would 100000% recommend taking this class with wong over any of the other class options for this psychobio requirement (ee bio 100, etc etc). super manageable, even for a lazy and unmotivated senior.
If you ever get the chance to take this class with Dr. Wong, please do!! This class was so interesting and eye-opening and the way he structured the class made it easy to focus on learning the concepts instead of memorization. I took it when it was online so all tests (2 midterms and a final, all non-cumulative) were done on CCLE. We were also required to answer study questions on CCLE that were like practice quiz problems (you got full credit if you got an 80% or better) and we were able to attempt the quiz as many times as we wanted as long as it was before the due date. All tests were multiple-choice and were very fair and representative of the content he taught. Overall, I would highly recommend this class!
This class with Wong was very easy. Sure, the topic itself isn't interesting, but fills the requirement and has fully online exams. Lectures have Iclicker, but worth it for such an easy major requirement. Gives a study guide, weekly unit questions on bruinlearn that have unlimited attempts, and you can get up to two percent added to ur grade from the extra credit!
