IF YOU ARE A GRADUATING SENIOR PLANNING TO GO TO PHARMACY SCHOOL, TAKE THIS CLASS!!
I can not explain how glad I am to have taken this course during my last year at UCLA. Yes, the course itself it difficult and it might not be what you want to fill your senior year with but it is definitely worth it!! It has been such a plus to know this material entering pharmacy school since it is all covered again during your first year.

The course does contain a great deal of material; each lecture comes with a ton of notes to take in class and later study for; however Dr. Jentsch is a very knowledgeable professor and presents the material in a way which is easy to understand (you just need to put the time into studying it). He explains to you the best way to tackle the material and entering that mind set helps you in solving pharmaceutical related problems later on. His exams are very fair and it is difficult to get an A just because the material itself is hard, but the class is worth taking just from the satisfaction you receive from the amount you learn and carry with you. I ended up with a B+ in the class (89%) but I was extremely happy!

Benefit from the knowledge our Bruin professors can provide us before you graduate. Dr. Jentsch is a great example of a professor whom you can learn alot from.

All graduating psychobio seniors, please beware of this class. If you are a senior who is looking for a class just to graduate, this class is not for you. If you have a life, don't take this class. If you are one of those people who have nothing better else to do but study and your other classes are just second rate, this class is for you. This course is VERY VERY detailed oriented and if you don't know everything there is to know about neurotransmitters, the book must become your bible. The the majority of the test is off the lecture slides which becomes helpful, but you better memorize EVERY line on them. GRADUATING SENIORS PLEASE THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU TAKE THIS CLASS.
