Prof page is an actual godsend, I don't think I can say enough great things about him. Such a great professor who genuinely cares about his students and wants you to succeed. he was always super accommodating and understanding with any requests esp in terms of health/COVID.
Classwork was pretty engaging and workload was totally manageable -- it was primarily one or two readings a week with participation discussion posts along with bigger papers/projects along the way. He walks you through all of the assignments and is super helpful if you need any help. The way he conducted class actually made me look forward to going to class every week and I was able to make a bunch of friends in class which is always a bonus, especially since it was my first quarter.
Just an overall great guy, a 10/10 experience which seems to be an anomaly when I hear about other EC3 classes?? I would 100% take a class with Page again if I could. Plus Page always walked in with a pretty cool fit and tote bag which I admire.

This professor is AMAZING! Our topic was Global Citizenship and Professor Page made it so enjoyable! You can tell he genuinely cares to hear your opinion and is great at facilitating discussion. We had 3 essays, and a couple were back-to-back so it felt like a big workload at certain times. Especially as someone who feels they have to perfect something. Nevertheless, I now consider myself a citizen of the world! I would take this class with this professor again and again!! :)

Professor Page is probably the best English/Writing teacher I have ever had in my life. He made me realize that I actually do have the ability to be a good writer. I really enjoyed this class and would reccomend everyone to take it with him if you can. During our quarter we discussed topics like democracy, free speech and more. He also makes it a safe space for everyone to air their views, so I got to hear a lot of different pespectives. 10/10 class.

Professor Page is a very interesting human being, ready to discuss topics outside of the classroom and able to provide an interesting perspective as well as be curious to what you can bring to the discussion. Absolutely amazing class (in Fall 2023, it was focused on Global Citizenship), and would recommend to take Dr Page's class to anyone for their ENGCOMP3 class!

Great professor! Class consisted of a weekly reading for the first half of the quarter and our theme was global citizenship so he'd also give a weekly podcast to listen to and make note of in a podcast journal assignment - really manageable and he graded easy on it. Besides this, we had 2 writing assignments and for each he'd give us feedback on our first draft (ungraded) to utilize on the revised version. Towards the end of the quarter, there was a group presentation and the final writing assignment was based on the topic we presented on. I think the group presentation was meant to be a grade boost so he didn't grade hard at all. Overall he's a really nice guy and genuinely very helpful to all of his students!

Professor Page is THE goat. Of all the classes I have taken up to this point, this class is in my top 3. He is very very helpful and genuinely has an interest in his students. Literally do not take English Comp 3/3D if it’s not with Professor Page.

Professor Page has been one of the best English teachers I've had (this is my first quarter in college, so I'm not sure how he'd compare to UCLA staff, but based on other reviews, he seems pretty good). He makes lecture interesting and forces you to sit with new people every class, which actually helped me gain a few good friends. The class consists of weekly hw assignments, several essay drafts, two final draft essays, and a presentation. If I had advice, I would say make sure to look at the rubrics to ensure that you get your desired grade, but he typically doesn't give anyone lower than a B. It is, however, difficult to get high A's and 100's. At times, it will seem like the class's workload is intense, but it was my favorite class for my first quarter.

For English Composition 3 and 3D, TAKE PROFESSOR PAGE! He's super clear, accommodating, engaged, and helpful. I heard horror stories about other English professors and I'm so glad I didn't relate to any of that.

Professor Page; the man, the myth, the legend! If the opportunity of taking his class falls into your lap, I repeat DO NOT let it pass you by! He was by far the best professor I've ever had not to mention funny, enthusiastic about the content, and genuinely caring about his students. My love for writing blossomed during my time in his class because I felt as if we were taught actual tangible tools to help us become better writers. I've been periodically checking class planner ever since to see if he added on any additional classes because I genuinely would love nothing more than to take one more class with him before I graduate.
