PLEASE take spanish 25 with Dobos. She is the nicest lady, her class is really easy, and it's a good way to stay current with your spanish. I'd HIGHLY recommend her. i actually had fun going to class because there were only 30 students, and discussions were pretty fun. It's a great class, esp. with this teacher.

Professor Dobos is the greatest! Her class is geared toward the success of her students, and you learn much more this way! It is a stress-free class, will up your GPA, and is a great refresher course for anyone that hasn't taken spanish in a while. I highly recommend this class, and I commend professor Dobos for her great class this winter quarter!

If taking Span25, having Dobos is a must! It's a relaxed pace class that will help your GPA, decrease your stress level, and brush you up on Spanish fundamentals. Prof. Dobos has an amazing personality that makes you just want to pinch the heck out of her cheeks. Don't be loco, pick Dobos!

Dobos is a really good professor. She is more than fair, extremely accommodating, willing to go out of her way for students, and very knowledgeable. Her class isn't very difficult, but for students who have already taken basic Spanish courses, it's perfect for practicing your speaking and writing skills. I would take it again if I could. She does speak quietly, but she speaks slowly and clearly, which makes it much easier to understand her. I highly recommend Dobos.

Her class was great! Professor Dubos is a nice and caring professor.

There are 4 short essays (1 page short) each worth 10%. There are 4 tests in total worth 20%. She gave everyone 100% for class particpation for just showing up.

The essays are written and turned in. She returns them back to you with the proper corrections and all you have to do is fix your paper and turn it back in for an A+.

Her classes are not boring. I found myself awake because the class was so small (20 students) she gets to know everyone's name, and sometimes calls on you to answer questions. Overall, she is a good professor. If you have an opportunity to take care go for it, it'll be worth the A in the end.

i don't know what the previous experiences these other students had with spanish professors, but pra dobos does not rank among any of the best i've ever had. besides the fact that her first language is hungarian, then spanish... then english? she also has a very quiet voice. sitting right next to her i had difficulty hearing what she had to say. granted, the only other option for this class was some freaky guy who i heard horrible things about, so i guess dobos was worth it. but after taking her class i no longer wanted anything to do with spanish. it wasn't difficult. just so boring that i didnt want to do any of the work. and i had her right after i had just had a phenomenal professor at my community college. dobos paled in comparison. we had workbook work that we rarely turned in any fashion until the end of class, i believe, and some short essays that were not graded clearly, quizzes that went over our heads (after having her try to teach us stuff) and an optional final that you could take only if you wanted it factored into your grade (and yes, if you did poorly on the optional final your grade could be lowered).

If your debating over Dobos or Cruz-Salvadores for 25. TAKE DOBOS!!! She is the sweetest teacher you'll ever have. She is very concerned about her students. She is so patient and will spend an hour of her time looking at your essay and helping you make it better. The way she grades and structures the class is super easy. I don't think she gave anyone less than an A- on the final. She grades on the effort you put in and the improvements you make over the period of the course.

I LOVE PROFESSOR DOBOS!!!! SHE IS ONE OF THE BEST
PROFESSORS I HAD AT UCLA AND TAKING HER CLASS DEFINITELY MADE MY UCLA EXPERIENCE MEMORABLE. BESIDES DOING A GREAT JOB TEACHING SPANISH AND BEING CARING AND CONCERNED ABOUT HER STUDENTS' LEARNING, SHE IS ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL. SHE IS VERY KNOWLEDGABLE ABOUT SPANISH AND SPEAKS IT AS IF SHE WAS A NATIVE SPANISH SPEAKER EVEN THOUGH SHE IS FROM HUNGARY. I WOULD RECOMMEND HER AND HER CLASS HIGHLY TO ANYONE WHO IS GENUINELY INTERESTED IN LEARNING SPANISH AND IMPROVING THEIR WRITING SKILLS. YOUR GRADE WILL REFLECT HOW MUCH EFFORT YOU PUT INTO THIS CLASS AS DOBOS REWARDS THE STUDENTS WHO WORKS HARD AND ARE WILLING TO LEARN AND IMPROVE THEIR SPANISH. PERSONALLY, FOR ME, TAKING THIS CLASS NOT ONLY IMPROVING MY WRITING AND SPEAKING SKILLS IN SPANISH, BUT IT ALSO MADE THIS WINTER QUARTER MEMORABLE FOR ME SINCE THIS QUARTER DID NOT GO TO WELL FOR ME OVERALL. PROFESSOR DOBOS IS THE BEST!!!

I just finished taking her final for the winter quarter and i LOVED her class. She is VERY nice and extremeley interested in how much the student learns. Her test is very straightfoward and she is very lenient on her essays. She is a pretty easy grader. The teachers at UCLA usually don't care about the students but she was a very caring teacher. If you can take her class, I would definetly recommend her to all of my friends
