Quarter: Spring 2025

Very laid back. Hollan treats you like independent researchers, but will always be there when you need him. We did not meet in person for about 1/2 of the quarter while we worked on IRB materials. INstead, he offered 15-minute individual check in meetings. He never kept us ore than 2 hours of the 3 hour in-person seminars. At the beginning of the quarter, there are a few short response papers due - these are more for students to reflect on their methods and choices for their honors project.

Hollan is genuinely a great guy and he will always help you but never overwhelm you. After the chaos of 191HA, this class is like a (very knowledgeable and kind) security blanket.
