Professor Thomas est le meilleur professeur dans tout le departement francais, selon moi! :) Il est genereux et ambitieux... okay, I'll start writing in english! He is the best professor that I have ever had within the French department. He really does care about the student's welfare. He will go the extra time to make sure that you understand. His energy is contagious and he pepps up the class within minutes of its commencement. He is an extraordinary and an extremely valuable resource to the French dept. I am extremely happy that we have this great guy in the dept to help students find their way within the dept! :)

Winter 2026 - Professor Thomas does a great job fostering discussions and evaluations of films that brings them into the context of a broader message about immigration and overall society. The films he shows are very interesting, diverse, and unique, and the discussions he encourages after the screenings are always very informative and thought-provoking. The course structure consisting of only attendance/participation and a final paper is refreshing and encourages more thoughtful and authentic engagement with the point of the course. I really enjoyed this class, its format, Professor Thomas's instructions, and what I gained from the films we watched!
