Mckeown is one of the few professors who seem to genuinely care. He really enjoys what he does, understands how difficult physics is for a lot of people and genuinely wants you to succeed. The quizzes are pulled straight from the homework and exams are mostly reasonable, although sometimes too long with some vague wording for questions (though he recognizes this and accommodates different answers or curves). He’s not perfect (his lectures/slides aren’t always the clearest or most engaging) but otherwise an awesome professor. Highly recommend taking him and going to his office hours whenever you can.
Overall a very nice guy that's also very accommodating for any issues that may come up. The exam content was basically just topics from the homework, but some of the questions were extremely poorly written, and the exams overall had way too many questions (15 questions on a midterm?). There are also 4 quizzes during the quarter in addition to the 2 midterms, but the quizzes are very short (~10 minutes) and very easy. Supposedly after this quarter when he gets stuff figured out with CAE the quizzes will be unannounced so you have to attend lecture. This was his first quarter teaching here though, so hopefully things will change for the better.
