Professor Quyen Di (Chuc Bui) is really kind to his students and very understanding. He works with students to set deadlines, whether assignments/quizzes are too hard or manageable, and is probably one of the most understanding professors I've met when it comes to tardiness/attendance. It is obvious he genuinely cares for and loves his students and teaching. I would highly recommend taking this class and with him, as you get to learn a lot about not only Vietnamese language, but also culture and history.

Chuc Bui aka Quyen Di is one of my favorite professors at UCLA. I took Vietnamese 1-4 with him already and I'm planning to take 5 and 6 with him as well. He is so kind to his students and genuinely cares about us. I always look forward to his class. Some of his tests can be tough, but if you do all the homework then it should be a breeze.
