Professor Bakhos is quite possibly one of the best professors at UCLA. Taking Midrash with her not only drastically improved my Aramaic and Rabbinic Hebrew, it motivated me to learn more Rabbinic Texts on my own (pretty amazing, huh? it was that great of a class!). Professor Bakhos excells at creating a positive learning environment as well as making the most of the diverse strengths that each student brings to the class room. I left every seminar glowing with enthusiasm over the beauty and power of Midrash. I cannot recommend a class or a professor more highly.
