I am not a south campus major and find science very hard, but I was still able to get an A. I highly recomend this class because the professor does eveything she possibly can to give you an A. There is no homework, and up to %30 possible extra credit! plus she brings food everyday...take the class!

Prof. Wisnieski is very nice. The class was enjoyable and easy. Rather than getting into too many technical details, the class gives you lots of good information about how microbiology applies to everyday life. The reading is not essential; All you have to do is read the web-notes and pay attention in lecture (duh). I highly recommend this class if you want an A and 4 free units.

I didnt think she was that bad. Sometimes shes disorganized. But shes really relaxed and brings food for everyone to eat in class. I studied for the midterm the day before and didnt do any extra credit and I got an A-. All you need to do is go to class and listen to her lectures, you dont even need to take notes really.

I just can't understand all the negative review for her. Is she easy? God yes. Is she "not all there"? No, she's just eccentric. Honestly, the woman is so sweet and considerate. As for teaching, the people who didn't learn anything are either too stupid or not paying attention. Her lectures are filled with trivial facts about microbes, but I can honestly say I learned a lot. She is extremely knowledgable and educated on the subject and her facts are interesting. Her lectures are important, because you need to know the analogies she uses for the tests. She is very repetitive, but this helps the learning process. If you go to lectures, you cut study time for the class down to a few hours the day before the test. I loved the class, and will miss the free food.

Alright, Prof W., sorry to say, needs to retire. When she taught, I didn't feel like I was at UCLA. I felt like I was in high school. She brings us food, she says, to "keep us awake" during lectures. Hello?! How about presenting the material in a fun, effective manner?

She is also kind of..how can I say this..."not all there". However, she is a VERY easy "A". Just study the notes on-line and the practice test she gives you. I got an A+ in the class, which just boggles my mind still.

This class is a cake walk. Professor Wisienski is one the worst professor I have had at UCLA. She seems more concerned with comparing the treats she brings into the class to microbes then she does about teaching anything worthwhile. The class is easy enough to just learn by reading the online lecture notes. If you can, take Robinson for Micro 6 and avoid the pain and toil that I had to go through every single class with this woman.
