Professor Ruiz was my ochem professor at LA Trade Tech. I thought Professor Ruiz was a terrible professor because of her ratemyprofessor rating but Professor Ruiz is so awesome that her quirky humor and also her ability to teach is enough to enrich the class. Because LATTC had a classroom size of only 20 students, most of us got to know Professor Ruiz very well.

Professor Ruiz got her B.A. in Chemistry in Mexico. Later, her PHD was from Vancouver, Canada and her post-doctoral internship was in the United States. Her passion for chemistry began when Ruiz landed a job in West LA College and just fell in love with it.

Overall, her class is awesome. Her accent is not a problem even though it is thick. So far, I think Professor Ruiz is very passionate about her students. We had a pizza party during one of our lectures and we got subways for two weeks on our seminar course project for ochem. If you want to have a funny teacher with a understanding, take her with her. =).
