Very nice lady. The readings can be a bit heavy, but if you do them, the quizzes, or "reading checks," are really easy. She gives you the questions for the midterm and final ahead of time, which makes them pretty straightforward and not terribly difficult. Also, the final is not cumulative, making it not too bad to study for.

I only took a ge class, but i loved it. Her lectures were very informative and she always made them enjoyable. She was very flexible as far as schedules went, even for midterms and finals. Take a class with her!!!!

Professor Klocke is great. She is genuinely concerned with the student as an individual. She is warm, helpful, informative, and does to her best to make the material interesting. Her class has tons of reading, but a lot of it was entertaining (but it is a lot!!!!). Her tests were fair, but lengthy. Be prepared to write lots of essays! All in all, Astrid is a wonderful professor. I always left her class feeling enlightened and informed. As the undergraduate advisor for the Germanic language department, she is wonderful. She is patient and always tries her best to answer all your questions (I have heard that some people feel her to be inflexible as an advisor, but I think she just always plays by the book!) Take a class with Astrid Klocke. She is great. Vielen Dank!!!!!

Professor Klocke teaches you what you need to know. She is to the point and very clear, so it's really easy to study for her tests. She gives you the exam questions to study ahead of time. Take her, she's awesome.
