Professor Burstein was one of the better econ professors I've taken thus far. He knows his material and is pretty good at communicating it. He repeatedly asks his students to stop him if they're lost in lectures, and he's happy to help in class and in office hours (although OH was at 9AM; bit early for me). He did a better job of explaining the concepts' application to the real world than anyone else I've had in the department. The material can seem daunting at first, but it's really not that bad after listening to the lectures. The exams and homework are very straightforward, and solutions are posted pretty quickly so it's easy to stay on top of things (or play catch-up like I did). The grading scheme was really flexible (three different schemes, each weighting HW, MT, Final differently; choose whichever gives you the highest grade) and the curve was VERY generous, but don't expect an A without paying attention in class and understanding the homework. I would definitely recommend Professor Burstein.
