She gives you a lot of options for what the classes can be about. It's general but also informative.

Professor Tripati is definitely awesome. I took her seminar last quarter, and this quarter I am auditing her oceanography lecture. She always eager to help if you have any questions.

Aradhna is an amazing prof. She's approachable and her door is always open for students for any matter. I enjoyed the relaxed nature of the Fiat Lux If you have the time in your schedule you should take the class. The material in the course wast introduced in a manner that explained every detail so don't worry about prior knowledge.

There was also only one assignment. ONE!

i took her Fiatlux course ESS 19 last quarter and I have to say that it was a very enjoyable class. I definitely have to disagree with some of the reviews here. Prof. Tripati is very approachable and if you are having problems understanding anything in the course she is more than happy to help! Some people here seem to have painted her as a monster but she really isn't! I would recommend this course for freshmen who may be thinking of taking it next year. There was a paper due at the end of the quarter but it could be about any topic that was covered in the course or even one in which you are very interested to write about.
