I took his dinosaur class but that wasn't an option to choose from. Despite what everyone says this is NOT an easy A. I went to every lecture and took notes on everything and for the life of me could not remember all the dinosaur information. The tests are all memorization but there's a lot of information to memorize that it's much more difficult than it sounds. PLEASE DONT BUY THE BOOK- YOU DONT NEED IT! Everything is from his lectures on the exams. The labs are horrible in the fact that you do the same thing every week and it's so boring and kind of hard! I was so happy when I was done with the lab section! Overall, the class is interesting in the second half of the quarter, the professor is pretty good but he reads off the PowerPoint the whole lecture, and it is an easy GE in the sense that there's not a lot of work outside of class but the tests are definitely NOT easy. Not an easy A class!!

I think Dr. Friscia is a really fair professor. I certainly didn't do so well on the first midterm, not as close to as my fellow whose comment is under mine here, but that is because I have underestimated the difficulty of LS.
Study everything on his lecture slides, including the diagrams! Everything is there for a reason! Do not overlook anything and you will excel in his class!
His lectures are OK for me. They went a little slow, but they are really concise and to the point.
Overall: Great and really fair lecturer!
