I took PSYCH 20A last quarter and it was the most informational, helpful computing class I've ever taken. Professor Frane is very thorough and goes through everything step-by-step. The handouts are very thorough and the lecture videos are even more in-depth. Attendance isn't required and you could easily get through the whole class on the handouts alone. You can get extra credit by attending labs and through the SONA system. Labs are also extremely helpful in completing the assignments. The assignments themselves also do a great job giving very detailed instructions on how to complete them. Plus there's no exams or quizzes whatsoever, just 10 assignments. It's a very good class to take right after 20A. Having to use a VPN and the remote connection to the Psych Computer Lab to do the assignments can be somewhat finicky, but that's the only bad thing about this class. Great class and a great professor to take it with.

Dr.Frane is a great professor who cares greatly for his students. He is pretty responsive to emails and will do his best to answer your question. The only time he won't give you an answer is when it is something that you need to solve on the hw. If there are strange errors in your code, he will ask you to send it to him and usually fixes the issue. He is also quick to fix his mistakes and will send an email to the class when there is an update to the handout/hw.

Psych 20B itself is a fairly easy class. 7 Hw assignments and the last two weeks are just finishing up a project that you come up with. Keep in mind that I took this class during the COVID-19 pandemic, so the class may have been easier than usually intended.
