Quarter: Summer 2019
Grade: A

I would definitely recommend chemistry 20B with Professor Levine. Everything you need to know for the exams is in the textbook, and sometimes he even takes problems from the textbook and uses them on the exam. The grades are based off quizzes given on some Friday classes and then a midterm and final. His lectures can sometimes be confusing if you are not familiar with some math and physics; however, if you go to office hours, he explains concepts very clearly and is willing to do any problem from the book for you. The class is curved, and the averages on the quizzes and midterm ranged from 60s-80s, so it is still possible to score low on the exams and get an A in the class. 10/10 would recommend.

Professor Levine really cares about his students and that is evident. His lectures really focus on the applications of the material, and how topics we are learning are related to upper-division chemistry. The homework assigned as well as textbook readings supported what was learned in class.
