Description: Seminar, three hours. Enforced requisite: satisfaction of Entry-Level Writing requirement. Freshmen/sophomores preferred. Investigation of relationship between choreography and nation-state to examine history of Israel. Discussion of key concepts such as Zionism, diaspora, Holocaust, nationalism, dissent, conflict, citizenship through scholarship, and dance sources. Introduction to dance analysis, dance theory, and historical research. Letter grading.
