Description: (Same as Chicana and Chicano Studies M146.) Lecture, three hours. Enforced requisite: course 25 or 27. Introduction to major Chicano narrative genres--novel, romance, satire, autobiography, cronic├│n/semblanza, Chicana detective novel, and Chicana solidarity fiction. Texts examined within their own geographic, cultural, and historical contexts, as well as within history of narrative forms. P/NP or letter grading.
